Educational actions

In its concern to demystify classical music and make it accessible to as many people as possible, the Matheus Ensemble strives to meet different audiences.
Since its creation in 1991, Jean-Christophe Spinosi and the Matheus Ensemble have transmitted their knowledge and their passion through numerous educational and charitable actions. Along with its great season of national and international concerts, the Matheus Ensemble perpetuates this need and this desire to share their enthusiasm and their passion for music, so that it is not only reserved for large venues.
Educational activities are thus set up, in order to bring classical music to the young audience of nursery schools, primary schools, colleges and high schools in the Brittany region. These actions are for the musicians a real duty of sharing, by which they offer their musical educational experience and become emotional descriptors and translators of music to children.
Among the educational actions of the last seasons, the Matheus Ensemble has participated in several actions among which:
Rehearsals open to the general public
Educational concerts in schools and specialized centers
Concerts dedicated to the public in disadvantaged districts of Brest, in unique places, 4 to 5 times a year
Twinning created between cultural structures approved by the General Council
Co-shared artistic education projects
Training of National Education staff
Professional integration internships
